Visual Hypnotic or Meditation Aid Painting

  • Airport Way South, Seattle, WA

This is a unique visual hypnotic or meditation aid painting signed 'Henry "Hank" Mundt Hypnotist.' The painting is black, white and a yellow / cream color that provides an interesting and intriguing texture. The fascinating circular black wheel pattern is contrasted with the random and abstract cream paint on the rest of the surface. The purpose of this painting is to provide a visual aid in order to concentrate while practicing hypnotic and meditative states. The center of the pattern provides a focal point which will help with deep relaxation, contemplation and reflection. When you stare at the center of the wheel pattern, it begins to move and rotate, influencing the unconscious mind into a hypnotic state.  Web search results tell us that noteworthy hypnotherapist Henry "Hank" Mundt was an expert in certain methods of deep relaxation, including the "2-2-5" breathing exercise method. He also worked to alleviate the pain and suffering of the terminally ill and dying as a member of the non-profit Hypno-Mercy Foundation. In addition, he worked with women to reduce pain in childbirth, with students to help with their concentration, as well as disturbed teens and alcoholics. He was also a member of the Society of Ethical Hypnosis, the California Society for Optometric Clinical Hypnosis, and the Association of Medical Illustrators. He practiced hypnotic medicine for over 25 years in California. This painting is believed to be circa mid century.  This painting would look great in a bedroom, zen den, meditation or yoga room, therapist or counselor office or on the walls at your local AA meeting.  There is a wire in good condition on the back to hang this painting.
